Does anyone have any idea what the paint scheme was on S&NY stations? Thanks,

From Jan 1943 Trains magazine talking about Masten station – “The structure is typical of the online stations, boarded up and evidencing having seen many seasons without a fresh coat of yellow and green paint.” That’s all I’ve found on paint scheme but would like to know more.

      Bob,
Thanks for finding that nugget. I had assumed that the color scheme might have been light and dark gray, since the SNY was under administrative control of the Lehigh Valley during USRA, and the LV used a light/dark gray scheme. That, or simple barn red and white.

      Bob,
Got a note from a reader, who asked a lady in her late 80’s who lives near the site of the Ellenton station about the station colors. The lady said she remembered the darker color as green, corroborating the Trains article.
